When leaving school and having a passion for art, I began a career in Signwriting.

After finishing my training, I spent a further 20 years in the industry perfecting my brush and layout skills. When my children started school, I decided to work part time, this allowed me to spend time at home with them.

It was at this point I rekindled my love for painting and honed my skills that I developed during my signwriting career.

My original acrylic landscape paintings on canvas depict many landmarks around my beautiful local city of Auckland, New Zealand and abroad. I have tried to capture well recognised scenes by using vibrant and cheerful colours and defining them with black outlines.

My Pop art paintings are based on pop art that emerged in the United States during the mid- to late-1950s. The movement presented a challenge to traditions of fine art by including imagery from popular and mass culture, such as advertising and comic books. They capture the life and times of the vintage romance comics from the 1960's and 70's with their classic and traditional lines from a bygone era.
